DOCUMENTED LIFE
Returning does not turn time backward
Walter’s foundation records his German debut in 1940, the wartime interruption and return in 1951. He won the World Cup with Germany in 1954, ended his Kaiserslautern playing career in 1959 and had the club’s stadium named after him in 1985.[1]
TRADITIONAL INTERPRETATION
Ren Water and Xu Earth: experience finding a place again
The reference is 庚申, 丙戌, 壬戌. Ren Water’s movement beside repeated Xu’s footing and constraint frames experience regaining room after an interruption; Shen Metal introduces support and learning. The hour is unknown. Water and Earth do not explain war, and a title does not prove every preceding event was ordained.
Returning requires earlier ability to meet a present body, teammates and arrangements. Metal, Water and Earth direct attention to conditions of resumption, not a claim that willpower alone restarted a career. A long club relationship also needs continued work. Match and appearance records still establish actual performance.
EDITORIAL REFLECTION
Loyalty needs practical work
Respect for Walter need not make later success compensation for war. An interruption and subsequent achievements are real without cancelling each other. Keeping the return, championship and retirement dates distinct shows the continuation of playing, rather than only a legend already fixed through honours and a stadium name.
