How are solar terms calculated?
Each term marks a 15-degree step in the Sun’s apparent ecliptic longitude. We solve for that astronomical instant with Astronomy Engine and then format it in your selected time zone. Local clock dates can differ across countries. Displayed minutes are rounded down, not a claim of second-level astronomical precision.
Why does Li Chun matter?
Li Chun is the 315-degree crossing. It is a common year-pillar boundary in BaZi, while the zodiac birthday calculator here uses Lunar New Year. Do not substitute one boundary for the other.
Which calendar year is covered?
The table lists the 24 annual crossings from Minor Cold through Winter Solstice for the selected Gregorian year. Compare important boundaries with Hong Kong Observatory tables, which are published in UTC+8.
