Later Heaven places Li south, Kun southwest, Dui west, Qian northwest, Kan north, Gen northeast, Zhen east and Xun southeast. Earlier Heaven places Qian south, Xun southwest, Kan west, Gen northwest, Kun north, Zhen northeast, Li east and Dui southeast.
Read the plate’s orientation
This reference uses the traditional chart orientation: south above, north below, east left and west right. It is fixed on the page. It does not read your location, device rotation or magnetic heading, and is not a navigational compass.
