An original relief side
Choose eight petals, turning ripples or six orbits. Raised rings, a central boss and curved relief details are shaded from a continuous height field. This composition shows the decorated back of a mirror, rather than a reflective mirror image.
Patina and light change the reading
Patina coverage blends oxidised green into bronze. Raking light exposes the relief through highlights and shadows, while grain and pitting give the surface variation. It is a procedural appearance study, not a simulation of age or a conservation diagnosis.
